Skating At Festival is free to enter and spectate. However, the ice-skating sessions and the rides require a ticket to enter.

Ice-skating sessions and rides can be purchased online and on-site, however sessions can sell out so we recommend you book early online to avoid disappointment.

Each Ride Pass gives you unlimited access to our rides for 1 hour. Ticket starts from the time the first ride is attended and ends in 1 hour of that time. The session can not be consumed in segments. 1 ticket per person.

*Note: this is not available at every location, see the Activities page to see what’s available in your location.

Skating At Festival is expected to peak late afternoon and evening. We anticipate busy periods during the school holidays. Capacity on the ice-rink is capped, to ensure you have a great time. To avoid disappointment book online to secure your desired time.

Absolutely!! We encourage all abilities to come for a skate at our ice-rinks. We provide protection packs for the little one’s and Kanga Skate Aids for all ages.

Our Kanga Skate Aids are perfect for anyone needing a little extra balance.

Also each rink has allocated Ice Marshall’s who can provide some tips and tricks to help you get comfortable in your skates.

Ice skating is available for adults and children 3 years and up.

Children are the responsibility of their guardian onsite, and must adhere to Skating At’s strict terms and conditions.

Children 3 – 4 years must meet the following conditions:
1. There must be 1 ticketed adult on the ice with the child at all times.
2. The child must purchase and use an ice skating aid at all times. This must be pre-purchased prior to the session starting.
3. Must wear a helmet (provided at no cost – see skate hire).
4. Must wear double bladed skates (provided at no cost – see skate hire).

All adults that are accompanying a child on a ride will need to purchase their own ticket for the ride.

Adults are not permitted to skate with children in their arms.

The ice rink at Skating At Festival is open rain or shine and it’s perfectly safe and fun to skate in both of these conditions, after all it is a Winter activity! Rain/sun can cause a little extra water on the ice, these are still safe skating conditions but can mean you might get a little splash! We strongly recommend raincoats and a change of clean dry socks on rainy days and sunscreen and hats on sunny days.
There are no refunds for wet weather so please choose your session carefully!

Skating At Festival wants you to have a great time so we’re constantly monitoring the weather to ensure sessions are safe to proceed. If severe storms or electrical storms take place organisers will cancel the session and advise accordingly. This happens 15 minutes before each session to ensure everyone has a chance to skate and that the most current conditions are being assessed. If a session is cancelled, all ticket holders will be offered replacement tickets for an alternate desired skating time.

(It should be noted that session cancellation due to inclement weather is at the discretion of the promoter and skaters will be offered an alternative time.)

Skating At Festival organisers may close the Ice Rink and rides at any time on a permanent or temporary basis due to the weather, safety, and any other reason. This is at the absolute discretion of Skating At Festival staff and authorities. If the Ice Rink is closed either before or during the session Skating At Festival will provide the participant with a replacement ticket to another session or refund any money paid by the participant in respect to the ticket. Skating At Festival and partners are otherwise not liable to the participant for any other expenses or damages of any kind.
